About Me

"Breathe..."

This was the word spoken to me by a friend who was near the end of her life. I had taken on a role of supporting her while she was in hospice, and in a moment of feeling I didn't know what to do, I asked what I could do to best be of help. The one word came out strong and decided, the wisdom of a woman who was starting to see through the veil.

Since then, I think of this moment often and I can still hear her say the word in my mind's eye. We are already whole and everything is as it should be, all we have to do is breathe.

Coming Home Takes Courage

Pursuing my transformative healing path through life, I have been on my own journey of coming home. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, my passion for depth and understanding has led me to many places and experiences. Living in the Mexican countryside, supporting immigrants in California, and making a pilgrimage to Austin, Texas for shamanic study are a few of the adventures I embarked on as I have followed my heart to self-knowledge and spiritual, emotional and cultural growth.

As a child and young adult, I experienced challenges of being highly sensitive to the world around me and I struggled to understand my emotional and bodily experiences. This led me to seek answers to better understand myself and the world. I am deeply grateful to have found teachers, mentors and dear friends who have supported me in my journey. With this support, I came to see that my body and my experiences held deep wisdom from within me and that my body is my ally and not my enemy.

I know the degree of profound courage that it takes to look deeply inside of ourselves and to step forward on a journey of learning to have compassion for all that we experience in life.  As humans, we are imperfect and we experience suffering, yet each of us is worthy of acceptance and grace. It is with this heart of compassion that I approach my clients.

Before becoming a massage therapist, I provided personal care support for adults with developmental disabilities and for older adults for eight years.  I received my Bachelor's of Science from UW-Madison in Latin American Studies, Rural Sociology and Environmental Studies.  I graduated in March 2018 from the East West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, Wisconsin, which specializes in integrating eastern & western bodywork modalities.

My ongoing pursuit of personal growth has included studying meditation, Toltec shamanic spirituality/wisdom, herbal medicine, intuitive studies, and attending human potential and relationship workshops. My greatest loves in life include my family, the Divine, dance, connection with the Earth, and delving into the profundity of the human heart and soul. I give gratitude to my teachers and mentors and also to friends and family both alive and who have passed on, who have strengthened me with their wisdom.
